12-day Jianshui, Yuanyang, Xishuangbanna, Dali Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Kunming, Kunming – Jianshui (230km, 3.5h) (Flight not included)
Upon your arrival at the Kunming Airport, meet Natasha who will hold a piece of paper with her name on waiting you at the gate of international arrivals (for international flight) or No. 3 gate of domestic arrivals (for domestic flight). Meet our driver who will drive us to Jianshui. Pay a visit to Tuanshan Village, Double Dragon Bridge, and enjoy a relaxing stroll in Jianshui Old Town.

Day 2: Jianshui – Yuanyang (125km, 3.5h)
Pay a visit to a tofu workshop. After that, drive to Yuanyang. Enjoy the terraced fields at Tugezhai, Jinkou, Quanfuzhuang, and enjoy the sunset at Tiger Mouth.

Day 3: Yuanyang
Today we will have a full day to visit the terraces belonging to the Hani and Yi people. First, enjoy a sun raise at the guesthouse. After that, enjoy splendid terraced field’s views at Huangcaoling, Shengcun Village, Diantang, Liangxinzhai, and Niujiaozhai Village. At last, enjoy the sunset at Bada.

Day 4: Yuanyang – Jinghong (480km, 9h)

Day 5: Jinghong – Mengla (145km, 4h)
Visit Sky-tree Park crossed by Nanna River to enjoy the rain forest in the sky, on land, and river.

Day 6: Mengla – Menglun (85km, 2h) – Jinghong (60km, 1.5h)
Pay a visit to Tropical Botanical Garden, Manting Park and Buddhist temples.

Day 7: Jinghong – Dali (MU5883, 10:40 – 11:40) – Weishan Old Town (70km, 1h 45min)
Enjoy a relaxing stroll in Weishan Ancient Town.

Transport: plane (1h), van (1h 45min), walk (4-5h)
Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner at local restaurant
Day 8: Weishan – Nuodeng (210km, 5h)
Visit salt department, old banyan tree, traditional architecture, old market relics, Confucius Temple, Yuhuangge, and natural TaiJi map. Appreciate the splendid sky with shinning stars in the evening.
Overnight: Nuodeng Gudaofang Guesthouse
Transport: van 5h, walk 2-3h
Food: breakfast at Weishan Xiongzhao Hotel, picnic or lunch on road, dinner at Gudaofang Guesthouse
Day 9: Nuodeng – Shaxi (210km, 6h)
Drive you from Nuodeng to Shaxi. En route, we will explore the bridges of Yunlong County along Pijiang River.
Overnight: Shaxi Hotel, or Shaxi Luyuan Guesthouse
Transport: van 6h, walk (1-2h)
Food: breakfast at Gudaofang Guesthouse, picnic or lunch on road, dinner at Shaxi
Day 10: Stone Treasure Mountain Grottoes (Shibao Mountain)
Pay a visit to Stone Treasure Mountain Grottoes (Shibao Mountain). After dinner, we will walk back Shaxi Village through the picturesque Shaxi valley with beautiful rice paddies. Enjoy a relaxing stroll in Shaxi Village; appreciate its stone bridges, streets, ancient drama stage, temple, and village gates.
Overnight: Shaxi Hotel, or Shaxi Luyuan Guesthouse
Transport: van 2h, walk (5-6h)
Food: breakfast at Old Oak Café, picnic or lunch on the way, traditional Bai dinner at Old Theater Inn
Day 11: Shaxi – Jizu Mountain (165km, 5h)
Drive to Chicken Foot Mountain at Binchuan County, Dali. Pay a visit there.
Overnight: Jiaye Temple
Transport: van 5h, walk 2-3h
Food: breakfast at Old Oak Café, picnic or lunch on the way, vegetarian food at the temple on Mt. Jizu
Day 12: sun raise at Jinding, back home
We will get up when it is still dark and trek 1.5h to Jinding. Natasha will prepare flashlights for you. Wear thick and warm clothes. The temperature will be low in the early morning on mountain. After the sunrise, we will visit some temples. Take cable car and electro mobile down the mountain. Drive you to Dali airport to take an afternoon flight to your next destination.

Food: breakfast at the temple on Mt. Jizu or picnic on the top of the mountain, lunch at Jianchuan County
